Former Yonkers priest suspended for sexual misconductPosted: Updated:
A New York priest, with ties to Westchester, has been suspended over sexual misconduct allegations.
In a letter to parishioners, Archbishop Timothy Cardinal Dolan announced the suspension of Rev. John Duffell, of Blessed Sacrament Church in Manhattan.
The 75-year-old is accused of sexual misconduct with an adult. Immediately following that suspension, Duffell announced he's retiring.
In 1988, he became the youngest pastor appointed to the Archdiocese when he was sent to St. Peter's Church in Yonkers where he served for several years.
