MOUNT PLEASANT -

Police in two Hudson Valley communities say they're seeing an up-tick in car break-ins.

Mount Pleasant officers are reminding residents to lock their car doors after several overnight vehicle break-ins in the Thornwood and Pleasantville areas. It happened near Nannyhagen Road and Bear Ridge Road.

Investigators say residents should check home surveillance video for suspicious activity.

Clarkstown police say they also noticed more vehicle break-ins in the Valley Cottage and Upper Nyack areas.

They're reminding residents to avoid leaving valuables in vehicle, park in busy, well-lit areas, and if you see something - say something!
