LAGRANGEVILLE -

Officials say a Lagrangeville man admitted to keeping more than a half a dozen sharks in a pool in his basement.

Joshua Seguine was illegally trafficking sharks out of his home. He was arrested in 2017.

Police say seven sandbar sharks were confiscated. Two dead leopard sharks and a dead hammerhead were also discovered.

Seguine was trying to sell the sandbar sharks online for more than $11,000 each.

He'll be sentenced in September.
