WHITE PLAINS -

Two White Plains men were arrested when a pit bull terrier was found dead by Greenburgh police.

They say they found the dog badly beaten and burned in a metal fire pit early Saturday morning at 52 Jackson Place.

Neighbors were stunned by the allegations.

"If that's what happened--I'm kind of glad they got caught because that's inhumane," said Henry Mills.

Police also found meth.

Ian De Los Reyes and homeowner Danilo Tolentino were charged with animal cruelty and possession of meth.
