Westchester launches online behavioral health directory

A new tool in Westchester is giving residents quicker access to mental health services.
The county launched an online directory to identify and locate service providers in the area.
The database features geo-tracking technology that targets services in mental health, substance use and disability needs for the more than 21,000 people in the county who use the programs.
“Many times, it's the distraught parent or sibling that does the search because they see somebody in pain and that individual may not be completely conscious of what they're going through but the loved one has an easier tool to get that person help,” said Westchester County Executive George Latimer.
