A former Castle Hill resident says his upbringing is what makes him such a great dancer.
Lucky Banks grew up in Castle Hill. He’s performed a dance style, lite-feet, that has gone viral on YouTube, Instagram, in the Fabulous Flipmode music video, and the BET Awards Experience.
Now, he’s the face of Champ Sports, but he started at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club Center in Castle Hill.
Banks has gotten to meet a lot of people and gained a lot of followers, but says leading classes for the kids every Saturday in Harlem is what he’s most proud of.
“Giving back is important because I didn't have that,” Banks said. “I was out here just doing it on my own with no background. When kids say ‘Are you Lucky Banks the dancer?’ Puts a smile on my face. So much happiness.”
