Westchester ready for heat wave with cooling centers set to open

Ways to keep cool will be at the forefront this weekend with scorching temperatures expected for Westchester and the Hudson Valley.
Westchester County officials are urging residents to avoid strenuous activity.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo is calling on state parks and swimming pools to extend hours through the weekend.
The Village of Croton-on-Hudson will have a cooling center open 24/7 until the heat wave breaks. The Croton Free Library is also a spot where people can go to cool off.
