Westchester County police were in the right place at the right time as at least two cars collided in Briarcliff Manor -- one of which attempted to speed off.
The original crash happened along Saw Mill Parkway and Marble Avenue heading northbound, where police say a Ford Escape with New York plates hit another car and drove away.
Westchester police pursued the car up Route 117 and witnessed those inside throw items out the window. It's not clear what the items were.
The car then headed into a dead end on Country Club Lane, where the chase ended.
Four people were taken into custody.
