NYPD officer from Yonkers laid to rest

An NYPD officer from Yonkers who was among several officers to die by suicide this year was laid to rest Saturday.
Johnny Rios, 35, was the eighth NYPD officer to die by suicide, out of nine officer suicides within the department this year.
 More than 100 mourners dressed in black gathered at the Saint Margaret of Cortona Church on Riverdale Avenue for the funeral Mass.
Rios had been on detail at Yankee Stadium.
According to authorities, he died early Tuesday morning at his home in Yonkers.
Neighbors told News 12 that he had just gotten engaged.
Officer Rios will be interred at Oakland Cemetery.
