Police have identified a Bronx woman who was fatally struck by an alleged drunk driver Saturday in White Plains.
They say Susan Benjamin-Bailey, 57, had taken the train to White Plains and was walking to her job in the area when the incident occurred across from the Westchester County Center.
A 2016 Chevrolet Cruze traveling westbound on Route 119 drove onto a median pedestrian area opposite the County Center. Benjamin-Bailey was standing at the cross section and was struck by the vehicle.
The 57-year-old was transported by ambulance to White Plains Hospital Center, where she died of her injuries.
Glen Robinson, 26 of Elmsford, was taken into custody by Westchester County Police at the scene.
He was treated for minor injuries at Westchester Medical Center and then charged with DWI following his discharge from the hospital.
