Yonkers renames street in honor of fallen firefighter Patrick Joyce

After a decade since he was killed in the line of duty, a fallen Yonkers firefighter was honored Monday with a street renaming in the city.
Oct. 2 will mark 10 years since Patrick Joyce was killed after he raced into a burning apartment building, intentionally set on fire by a Bronx man.
Two other Yonkers firefighters were seriously hurt.
The Yonkers City Council passed a resolution last week to rename Old School Street between Elm Street and Palisade Avenue as "FF Patrick Joyce Way."
