A Queens man was viciously assaulted in Brownsville as he walked to work Tuesday.
Police say it happened around 6 a.m. as the 56-year-old victim was walking to the warehouse he works at from the Sutter Avenue L train station.
Officials say that is when a man started following him. The victim told police the next thing he remembers is waking up in the hospital.
"He just jump me in the back and then he hit me and then he asked me for my wallet and I said ‘please don't beat me, here's my wallet’ and he just kept beating until I knocked down, I blacked out," says the victim, who wished to stay anonymous.

He says the suspect stole his IDs and credit cards, using at least one of the cards to take about $1,800 from his bank account. He says he doesn't understand why this happened to his and is hoping justice will be served.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
