Jersey Proud: Kevin Smith, Jason Mews get honored on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Jersey guys Kevin Smith and Jason Mews were honored by Hollywood Monday by getting to put their handprints on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.

Jersey guys Kevin Smith and Jason Mews were honored by Hollywood Monday by getting to put their hand prints on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
Smith is a well-known movie director whose movies are often based around New Jersey. Mews stars in most of the films. Smith’s first film “Clerks” came out in 1994 and is considered to be a cult classic.
During the ceremony, Smith told a story about how his father took the family to Hollywood when Smith was young.
“40 years ago, Dad said to me ‘Maybe you’ll be here one day. He had no idea how right he was,” Smith wrote on Instagram.
Smith’s newest movie “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot” opens in theaters Oct. 15
