Police say two women are wanted in connection to a robbery at a Freeport beauty supply store Sunday afternoon.

They say an employee saw one of the women stealing items from Ebony Beauty Supply on Merrick Road.

The employee told police they recognized the woman from a prior shoplifting incident and asked to see inside her bag as she tried to leave with another woman.

Police say the first woman then punched the employee in the face.

Workers say the other woman then threw the stolen items from the other woman's bag on the ground as they ran.
