Dozens of former hotel employees gathered in White Plains Tuesday to demand money they say is owed to them.

About three dozen frustrated former employees of the Doral Arrowwood Hotel and Conference Center assembled outside the Westchester County Courthouse before a hearing was held to determine if and how they will be compensated after suddenly losing their jobs.

Around 275 workers at the resort in Rye Brook were notified on Christmas Eve that they would lose their jobs in two weeks.

The employees say they got no severance packages.

The renowned resort opened in back 1983 and hosted countless weddings, conferences and political conventions. The facility closed over the weekend after years of financial struggles.

Many of the former hotel employees told News 12 they are now having a tough time getting by and finding new jobs.

"Some of these employees worked here for 30, 40 years. It's just not good," says former employee John Delgatto.

No decision was made at the closed-door hearing on Tuesday, but another hearing on the case is scheduled for Feb. 11.
