Dozens of Sen. Bernie Sanders supporters held a watch party in Bushwick for Tuesday night’s Democratic debate in South Carolina.

South Carolina voters are set to go to the polls Saturday for the Democratic primary. The debate held in the state was a difficult one for Sanders as he fielded questions about his policies and previous decisions from his opponents.

The candidate also defended himself on questions about his record with the NRA, for which he has a D-minus rating, but with which reports say helped him to win his seat in the 1990 election.

This debate came fresh off his victory at the Nevada Democratic caucuses. As it stands, Sanders has already won 45 delegates.

Meanwhile, another issue on the minds of voters is Sanders’ electability. However, many of his supporters in Bushwick told News 12 that they think Sanders has what it takes to defeat President Donald Trump in November.

The South Carolina primary is on Feb. 29 and Super Tuesday is on March 3.
