Three new coronavirus cases announced Friday are linked to a visit to Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, News 12 is told.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo discussed the three new cases at a news conference Friday. It's unclear how the people contracted the virus.
As News 12 has previously reported, an employee at Lawrence Hospital has tested positive for the coronavirus. But the three cases announced Friday are not  Lawrence Hospital employees, according to New York Presbyterian.
The hospital also says that the three are not connected to the employee who was confirmed positive on Thursday.
Cuomo said Friday that there are 44 confirmed cases of the virus in New York.

Officials are urging people not to just show up to a hospital or doctor's office if they think they have the coronavirus. Instead, they should remain home and call a doctor.
An urgent care doctor told News 12 that not all medical offices or hospitals are equipped to test for the coronavirus, so it's always best to call first.
Officials said earlier this week that eight employees from the hospital were going under self-quarantine after the attorney's visit. The health commissioner said Thursday that a number of their tests did come back negative but did not mention how many. It’s not clear how many tests are pending.
