Looking for something to do now that some summer camps aren't opening? How about taking a stroll through the Katonah Art Museum?
The museum had been temporarily shut down back on March 13 and is set to reopen July 26.
"As important as we believe our mission is to show art to our community, the safety of our staff and our visitors is really of primary importance," says Michael Gitlitz, executive director of the Katonah Museum of Art.
The museum is taking steps to prioritize health, including contactless faucets to wash hands and wipes around every corner.
Masks will be required, social distancing will be enforced, and there will be time slots for all tickets to reduce crowds.
A total of 30,000 people visit the galleries every single year, but to limit crowds they are now capping capacity at just 25 people per hour.
The museum is also booking spots for its family learning center and spreading tables in its sculpture garden to increase places to work.
"We're doing everything we can to make this the place that it's always been," says Gitlitz.
Tickets go on sale online Monday. Visit the museum's website for more information.
