Instead of fanfare that usually surrounds a movie shoot, angry business owners flocked to the set in Suffern Tuesday.
Filming along Lafayette Avenue caused traffic to be detoured in the heart of the village business district. Storeowners say they are upset about what the shoot is costing their businesses. Also, they claim they weren?t told about the road closing. Village Trustee Trish Abato says that is not true. Abato says the village agreed to the filming because it's good publicity and a 12-year-old from Suffern is making an appearance in the movie.
The village is not being paid for the movie shoot. However, the movie company is paying for the expenses, including extra police.
