Suffern students help make toy drive a success
Some students in Suffern are giving back to their community while honoring a friend this holiday season.
Volunteers, many of them from the Suffern High School basketball teams, spent yesterday handing out toys to hundreds of local families in need at the Suffern Community Center.
The effort was all part of the Suffern PBA/DARE's 21st Annual Holiday Toy Drive. Many of the toys were donated from the Vincent Crotty Memorial Foundation in honor of the Suffern High School student killed in a car accident in 2010.
