Federal authorities have ruled out suicide in the disappearance of a missing hedge fund swindler whose car was found on Bear Mountain Bridge.

U.S. Marshal Joseph Guccione said Monday that investigators now consider the case of Samuel Israel III to be solely a fugitive investigation.

Israel's car was found last week on the Hudson River bridge with "suicide is painless" etched into dust on its hood.

On Thursday, federal marshals issued a wanted poster for the man convicted of cheating investors out of $450 million through his Bayou hedge funds. They said he should be considered "armed and dangerous."He disappeared on the day he was supposed to begin a 20-year prison sentence.
