? The case against the man accused of murdering a popular Hudson Valley gym teacher will go to a grand jury.

Prosecutors say they have finished the investigation and are submitting it to a grand jury panel Friday.

Detectives say they collected evidence from the brutal beating and stabbing death of Jami Erlich last Sunday. A possible murder weapon was recovered the day of the crime from the Valley Cottage complex.

Eric Lau has been charged with second-degree murder. Detectives say Lau has a violent criminal past and was obsessed with Erlich.
