A suspected drug and prostitution house in the Bronx is closed after officers responded to a tip from a concerned neighbor.
Police say they got a warrant to search 1182 Fox St. after an undercover officer purchased drugs from someone there. Authorities later returned and arrested about 24 people. Investigators say the house was a mess and they found crack-cocaine.
The investigation is ongoing, but the arrests would not have been possible without a call from an alert neighbor. Residents say they have long believed illegal activity was taking place there and they saw people coming in and out of the house at all hours.
