A Newburgh teenager has been charged in connection with the murder of a local father of seven.

Police arrested 17-year-old Anthony Baynes in Cornwall yesterday for allegedly shooting 35-year-old Jeffrey Henry to death at 54 Chambers St. in Newburgh on Dec. 15. Henry was found bleeding a block away and later died at the hospital.

Officials say they believe it was a robbery that took a turn for the worse and are still searching for more suspects involved with the crime.

Baynes faces murder, robbery and weapons possession charges. He is being held at Orange County Jail.
