"The Sharing Shelf" held an event as part of Family Volunteer Day.
Volunteers put together more than 250 hygiene kits filled with full-sized toiletries for infants, children and teens.
Officials at the event stressed the importance of giving back to their community, especially in hard times.
More than 50 children and their families county-wide registered for the event.
