Thousands of flights canceled, delayed

More than 6,000 flights were canceled nationwide due to Thursday's snowstorm. Westchester County Airport was open but many flights were canceled.

HARRISON - More than 6,000 flights were canceled nationwide due to Thursday's snowstorm. 

Westchester County Airport was open but many flights were canceled. 

As soon as the snow turned to rain Thursday afternoon, crews cleared the runways so a couple of flights could land and take off. 

Officials hope to get all flights back on track by Friday. They are urging travelers to check with their airlines for more information.
