Strong thunderstorms caused damage across the Hudson Valley Tuesday
Power outages were scattered across neighborhoods, including one in Northwest Yonkers, where nearly 900 people were without power.
Con Edison crews worked quickly to restore power to the partially damaged lines, according to officials on the scene.
It wasn't any better across the bridge in Pearl River where Orange & Rockland utility crews were working at the corner of West Washington Avenue and Center Street.
Most of the damage was caused by strong wind gusts, according to utility officials, as the storm moved through the area quickly.
Among the worst damaged parts of the Hudson Valley was Dutchess County, where 10% of Central Hudson's customers were in the dark after more than 200 different locations were damaged.
