MANHATTAN - Super Bowl fever has hit New York City, where Times Square has been transformed into Super Bowl Boulevard.

Broadway between 34th Street and 47th Street will be hosting events for the thousands of fans expected to visit. Stages have been set up along Broadway for national media outlets and live music performances all week.

Other fun features include a field goal kicking contest and an eight-lane, 180-foot-long tobaggan run on 40th Street. The Lombardi Trophy is also on display for fans to get a picture, along with a vanilla and chocolate fudge cake made by New Jersey's Buddy Valestro, TLC's "Cake Boss."

With thousands of people expected in the area, hundreds of officers have been assigned to protect the large crowds.
