The department was called to Peck's Pond Park around 5:45 p.m. to help animal control rescue the three domestic ducks who would not have been able to survive in the wild.

Thiells Fire Department rescued three people and then three ducks in Haverstraw on Friday.
The department was called to Peck's Pond Park around 5:45 p.m. to help animal control rescue the three domestic ducks who would not have been able to survive in the wild.
On their way to rescue the ducks, they were dispatched to a water rescue at Lake Sebago.
Crews went back to the pond and rescued the ducks after all the humans were safe.
