Town of Newburgh police are being credited with de-escalating an encounter with an unannounced YouTube videographer.

The video was taken by a group called "Long Island Audit" and posted online. It shows the department's police vehicles, entrances and exits.

Police questioned the videographer outside, and he told police he had a constitutional right to be there.

Officers told him next time he should give them a heads up and that they'd be happy to give him a tour.
