NYACK - The driver of the boat in last summer's "Tragedy on the Hudson" was back in Rockland County Court this morning.

The lawyer for Jojo John, of Nyack, tells News 12 a tentative trial date was not set and today was a general conference. David Narain tells News 12 that lawyers discussed discovery matters, the submission of pre-trial motions and scheduling of the case.

Prosecutors say John was under the influence of alcohol and drugs last July when the boat he was driving crashed into a barge being used for the construction of the new Tappan Zee Bridge. Bride-to-be Lindsey Stewart and her groom's best man, Mark Lennon, were both killed.

John's attorney say the barge was not properly lit. The U.S. Coast Guard has said the barges meet federal regulations for lighting.

John has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
