A daring roof rescue brought two trapped workers to safety Friday morning after authorities say the men got stuck on a four-story high roof in Kiryas Joel.
News 12 was given video of the incident by the Kiryas Joel Fire Department.
Fire officials say the private workers were installing surveillance cameras when their rented scissor lift malfunctioned 65-feet in the air and wouldn’t go down.
The incident happened shortly after 10 a.m, according to officials, at a multifamily building on Austra Parkway.
Officials say the men were brought to safety by KJ volunteer firefighters using a ladder truck within 25 minutes of their arrival.
