A tribute was held during funeral services for Vincent Linguanti, 16, best known for his service to the community as a junior Hillcrest firefighter.
The procession started from the funeral home to the Sacred Heart Church in Suffern where Linguanti was remembered as one who was authentic to his core. A priest from his school, Don Bosco Prep, spoke to the packed church full of classmates, fellow hockey players and friends.
Friends, family and fellow firefighters gave testimony to a young man, whose dreams of becoming a firefighter were cut short. The autopsy results have not yet been reported.
