A tropical storm watch is already in effect for southern Westchester as Hurricane Earl approaches the northeast coastline just days before the Labor Day weekend.

It's not clear if Hurricane Earl, which has already wreaked havoc on Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, will hit the Hudson Valley directly, but people living in coastal areas are being advised that surf conditions will still be greatly impacted by the storm.
