NEWARK - A TSA spokesperson says that the agency has brought in two dozen additional passenger screening K-9s to help improve security around local airports during Super Bowl weekend.
The K-9 units are trained to detect explosive odors.
Many will be retained at Newark Liberty International Airport and New York airports after the Super Bowl is over.
People are urged not to pet the trained dogs.
