Postal issues in Westchester continue, months after promises were made by the postmaster general that issues would be corrected.
Several months ago, complaints against  the U.S. Postal Service grew so loud that Congress demanded answers and was told things would quickly get better. It appears that the problem has only gotten worse.
Gayle Ehrenmen, of Greenburgh, says for the past few months, she feels as if her mail service has been a game of postal roulette. She says she thinks she’s gotten mail seven days since the year began.
Ehrenmen says it’s more than just Christmas cards getting delayed – she says she had checks from clients that didn’t come in.
Ehrenmen wasn’t the only person with problems. Fifty emails on the topic were sent to Turn To Tara in just three days.
Allison McNamera, of White Plains, had the most bizarre complaint of the emails. She had a package that went on a cross-country tour. Tracking information shows that the package arrived in White Plains on Nov. 24, stayed there until Dec. 4 and then headed to Virginia. It then traveled from Virginia to North Carolina to Michigan, back to Virginia to Michigan and finally back to New York.
She received her package a month later.

Rep. Nita Lowey says she is furious to learn what happened.
“I met with, last September, the deputy postmaster general. He assured me that he was going to make a difference, so when I hear a case like this, it gets my boxing gloves on,” said Lowey.

Sen. Chuck Schumer also made a similar pledge Thursday in a sharply worded letter to the postmaster general that read in part, “It is time for USPS to finally fix these issues once and for all.”
