A historic Tudor mansion in Scarsdale may set records when it goes up for auction later this month.
The 14,000-square-foot home on Garden Road will be sold on Oct. 26 at a live auction taking place on the property.
The house contains historical remnants, including beams taken from a frigate involved in the War of 1812. It features eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, 20-foot-high ceilings in the living room and Himalayan quartz countertops.
According to broker Max Kozower, developers are setting the initial asking price of $6.5 million below their $10 million purchase price because it's their last project and they want to move on.
He says that for $100,000 anyone can participate in the  live auction at the house.  The money will be refunded to anyone who doesn't win.
