US Supreme Court declines to hear Stratford election case

The U.S. Supreme Court will not take up the case of the contested Stratford state congressional race.
The Republican in the race, Jim Feehan, asked the high court to overturn the state Supreme Court’s ruling. That court had ruled judges do not have the authority to intervene in state legislative races.
It was the Republicans' last hope for a new election. The Democrat-controlled Legislature said they wouldn't call for it.
