A Valley Cottage volunteer firefighter is still on the mend after being badly burned in a house fire last week.

Ryan Ebner, 24, suffered burns to his face and air passage.

Fire officials say it happened while he was working to put out the flames in a basement on Storms Road. 

Ebner is still in recovery at the Westchester Medical Center, where his fellow firefighters are holding out hope he’ll make a speedy recovery.

In the week and a half since the blaze, Ebner’s friends have raised more than $80,000 for his care. 

Officials say the fire - and how he got hurt - is still under investigation.
