Yonkers police have identified the driver killed in last Friday's two-car crash.        

Police say Edvin Gutich, 23, of Brooklyn, was traveling south on Central Park Avenue when he struck a Jeep making a turn onto Arlington Street.

Gutich’s Mercedes then struck a light pole and a tree before bursting into flames. Gutich died at the scene.

The Jeep's driver, a 33-year-old Yonkers resident, was not injured.
