Victim identified in Pomona hit-and-run crash

Police say Dan Deserio was stuck by a vehicle as he was crossing the street on Thiells Mount Ivy Road near the Hillcrest firehouse around 6:30 a.m.

Authorities have released the name of the victim involved in Friday morning's deadly hit-and-run crash in Pomona.
Police say Dan Deserio was stuck by a vehicle as he was crossing the street on Thiells Mount Ivy Road near the Hillcrest firehouse around 6:30 a.m.
Deserio worked as a window washer for multiple businesses throughout Nyack and Piermont for 24 years. Prior to that, he served as a route salesman for Archway Cookies and Drake's.
He is survived by three sons, two grandchildren and numerous friends. A wake will be held tomorrow from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at T.J. McGowan and Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville. The funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. at Saint Gregory Barbarigo Church, also located in Garnerville.
