There was more heartbreaking testimony Tuesday as the sister of the woman who was brutally raped and murdered last April in her New City home testified.
Anne Fallon testified seeing the defendant, 30-year-old Ronald Douglas Herrera-Castellanos, inside her sister?s house and leaving the property the day of the murder. Herrera was supposed to be at the home to powerwash the Nagle?s deck. Fallon says she went into the house and found the bloody crime scene in the bedroom. That night, she picked Herrera out of a lineup. Fallon was on the witness stand for a little more than an hour, giving what even the defense called powerful testimony.
Robert Collister, who hired Herrera to work on Nagle?s house, also testified. Collister said he dropped the defendant off to work on the deck that morning. When Collister came back to the house, Herrera was gone.
