Victory for blind Congers woman and her dog
A blind woman won the right to walk her guide dog in her Congers condo complex Thursday after a three-month dispute with the board.
The Human Rights Commission of Rockland County stepped in after the Northgate Commons condominium board told 76-year-old Edith Kling she would have to walk her dog elsewhere. A neighbor?s complaint prompted the action by the board, but now it?s siding with Kling and included a written apology in the agreement.
Kling says she is happy about the outcome because a simple walk outside with her dog gives her a lot of freedom.
