Officials promoted Lt. Larry Rotta to become the department's new chief of police.
Rotta began his career with the Tuckahoe Police Department in 2006 and rose through the ranks becoming lieutenant in 2017.
Chief Rotta becomes the village's 12th police chief in its 120 year history.
