Tuesday?s thunderstorm passed through the Hudson Valley quickly, but not without a bang bringing torrential rain and lightning. During the most violent part of the thunderstorm, firefighters say a bolt of lightning struck a Middletown driveway and sparked a fire that scorched a garage. ?It was a very loud storm, it was unusual. Worse than it had been with the hurricane over the weekend,? says Warwick resident Stacey Malin.Officials are working to restore power to the more than 900 residents who faced outages.
