Voters face few hurdles at polling sites
Hudson Valley residents did encounter some problems at polling sites on Election Day, but many say those were resolved as the day progressed.
Thousands of Hudson Valley residents began lining the sidewalks of their voting sites as early as 6 a.m. Tuesday. Others cast their ballots later in the day to avoid the morning rush.
Representatives from the Orange County Board of Elections say that a few machines weren't working properly in the early hours of the day, including one designated for disabled voters. Emergency paper ballots were used at polling sites that reported malfunctioning machines.
