A car accident in Orange County killed the driver and injured his two female passengers this weekend.

Police say the crash occurred Saturday night on Route 17M in Walkill.

First responders say 18-year-old Alexander Claudio died on the scene. Claudio's passengers, 17-year-old Michelle Sadler and 16-year-old Brianna Pironti, were injured and taken to Westchester Medical Center and Horton Hospital in Middletown.

State police say the car may have been speeding when it lost control, and they are investigating if drinking also played a role in the crash.
