Tom Torres was seen in a Facebook live post from the Capitol on Jan 6. Due to being criticized for multiple controversial pro-Trump posts and remarks minimizing the severity of the riots, he has since removed his social media accounts.
Over the weekend, critics and supporters were seen protesting outside of his cafe on Oakland avenue.
In a statement issued to News 12 last week, Torres says he is skeptical of the media and asks for privacy.
