Warwick residents rally against underage drinking
Warwick residents are rallying against underage drinking after a high-school student was rushed to the hospital last week with alcohol poisoning.
School officials say the incident, which occurred at a Warwick Valley High School football game, is the second to happen since June.
Warwick Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ray Bryant says the school is reaching out to parents and community leaders, writing letters and forming a drug and alcohol coalition to help stop underage drinking.
Parents say they are also concerned about the sale of tobacco products such as flavored cigars and rolling papers that they claim are being misused.
