Washingtonville janitor arrested for second time this week
Police have arrested an elementary school janitor in Washingtonville for the second time in one week.
Police say Christopher Rossini almost choked his girlfriend to death in a drunken rage. They say he also tried to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head with a nail gun.
Rossini was arrested earlier last week for allegedly selling cocaine to undercover cops at Taft Elementary School while working as a janitor there. Police say Rossini has since been fired from his position.
Rossini is expected to be OK after undergoing surgery and cops say his girlfriend was not severely injured.
Rossini is currently out on bail and faces a number of new charges including attempted murder and assault. He is due back in court in September.
